This new one story, 45,000 SF Campus Center will include large dining rooms, a multipurpose room, student lounges, a book store, game rooms, convenient store, and student offices. The Center will also include storage and recycling rooms for students and staff to apply green habits. This new facility is designed to be LEED® Silver Certified.
The structural system consists of steel framing with beams and joists supporting metal deck for the roof system. Lateral loads, seismic and wind are carried by moment frames. The foundation system consists of spread footings for columns and grade beams along perimeter supporting exterior walls. The building was designed using the REVIT program to conform to the BIM modeling system. Estimated 2012 completion.
