51 Astor Place is a new 12-story, 400,000sf commercial office and retail development located in the East Village area of New York City. The building will completely occupy an entire city block. YAS is responsible for the structural design of this building which will be constructed of structural steel frame and concrete slabs. Rebar and concrete placement special inspections were also performed by our firm. 

51 Astor Place will meet LEED Gold Certification with U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). There will be a private accessible green roof on the 5th floor, a tenant accessible green roof on the 13th floor and an urban plaza on the corner of Astor Place and Third Avenue. Construction was completed in early 2013.
