The new port terminal building that serves the cruise and ferry passengers also consists of an arts and shopping district, a new Pop Music Center and an office building. An elevated public space along the waterfront is located over the cruise functions. The Main Hall splits up into three different partitions, separating the functions of the general public, port business, and travelers. A system of cantilevered space structures, and diagrids define the cruise center. The office building has a lateral system, consisting of an interior concrete core and diagonal grid in the exterior.
